Vela SNR closeup..

Hi Folks,
Has been a while since I have posted any deepsky images. Have been a bit bogged down with various things and also had problems with some of the software I use for my processing not working correctly. Lost a few nice nights due to high humidity fogging up the Coma corrector and even suspect the Cmos in the camera as well.

Have been eager to try a section of the Vela Supernova remnants with the 8" newt to see what sort of detail I could get. After seeing Greg`s, Mikes and Bert`s widefield I decided on this region on the eastern edge which showed up fairly bright on widefield shots giving me the best chance to get some detail.
Image is 30 x 6 min @ iso 800 with 8" newt and Eric modded 20D.
Image is full frame and resized to around 30% with heaps of compression to get under 200k.
Took me three goes at processing this till I was happy with the outcome. As you can tell it is pushed very hard to ring out all I can from it. Glad the nights have been coolish compared to Vic, SA and WA at around 18-20*C

I have to try some more parts of the Vela SNR if the weather conditions are right!
Thanks for looking! and comments are most welcome
Gary
