Well according to my copy of Space & Planets, The Age of Aquarius is explained as follows.
"The point where the sun crosses from south to north of the celestial equator each year is the spring equinox. This crossover point gradually moves against the stars, owing to precession, Earth's slow wobble in space. Over 2000 years ago, the crossover point lay in Aries. Subsequently it moved into Pisces, where it still lies. It will eventually reach Aquarius, nearly 600 years from now - which is when the much-heralded Age of Aquarius will start."
If this is to be believed, we have a wait yet before the AoA.
