if so you only need to plug the power jack into the mount head itself to power it, the jack on the hand controller is for when it is unplugged from the mount (ie. installing newer firmware)

i just use a small 17ah SLA battery to power mine, can get multiple nights off of 1 charge

Thanks for the info mate I didn't know that thought the hand controller would also require it's own power even when plugged in mount, cheers
