Yeah, Dave was doing that through his PST. He did have some success, one shot in particular was sharp enough to just make out the jagged edge of the moon vs smooth edge of the sun. But no HA detail on the disc of the sun or any flares visible. We've found the PST really doesn't work at all well for photography.
I'll see if I can get one of his pics to post, with his permission.
(and yeap, ED80 mounted reverse, just to prevent any risk of damage if a cap were to fall off, he puts it on so he can attach the PST)
