Omega Centauri - tips welcome

I just love swinging the Dob over to this object for an extended
perv, and love showing it to others who have never seen a glob
before ... especially kids. The impression of stars "popping
out" at you make it almost like having 3D glasses on.

Captured with 450D / ED80 on Jan 17th.
20x30sec stack @ ISO800 with single dark.

Do you more experienced folks ever crank up the focal length with
a barlow to resolve more stars? Not sure if there's an easy way
to bring out more stars without burning out the central region.
Secret techniques welcome.
