NGC6025 a striking 15arcmin wide open cluster in Triangulum Australe , even though its competing with the cities skyglow from my vantage point and a waxing moon its still quite distinctive . The cluster to me has a hourglass shape with a mixture of straight and curved patterns of stars , in a way it reminds of a miniature Orion complete with a bow , this was best revealed tonite with a 80mm refractor using a 14mm meade UWA eyepiece yeilding 43x with a true feild of 1.7 degrees. Nice contrast with a 10 inch SCT scope using a 22mm nagler at 113x , shape was still noted . Couldnt sight the nearby planetary nebula NGC5979 . :
