Yeah, Irfanview does batch processing (it's free too):

Can't get any easier with its user interface. You can also do other operations (e.g. resize, rotation, grayscale conversion, convert to another image format, brighten, sharpen, etc) and combinations of them as a batch.
But others here have pointed at a better approach/software for your specific needs, but you might find uses for Irfanview's batch feature for other situations
