I have a feeling most of that blotchiness is noise. It's rather course and pixelly, and it's playing a bit of havoc with your colour balance. Although with the weather we've been having, it's no wonder!!!. It actually looks like you have a bit of noise running right through the piccie. Makes the final result even more remarkable with testimony to the scope's optics.
