Tom, I agree - I love the friendly nature we've got going here and definitely want it to remain that way..

But "more members" and "friendly nature" are not mutually exclusive - we can have both. It's up to us, as individuals, to ensure it stays in that friendly nature as it continues to grow.

We just need to make sure people don't end up down the path of "scope envy", where we end up comparing our scope with other members gear and feeling insignificant or frustrated. This hobby isn't about who has the biggest and best gear.. You can't (and shouldn't) compare a $400 8" dob with a $7000 LX200GPS. They both have advantages and disadvantages, and you need to get the scope that fits your lifestyle and your budget.

As Dave47Tuc says, the best scope is the one you use.
