Saturn 18/01/2009

Hi All,

Two RGB's of Saturn from this morning. DMK 21AU04.AS
16" F4.5 Newt
Seeing was variable 6-7/10
Captured 1750 frames for each channel in IC Capture, 2 min's / channel, stacked 500 frames from each channel. Each RGB represents 1500 frames.

Brightness 50
Gama 140
Gain for R & G channels 875 for Histogram of 200
Gain for B channel 1023 for Histogram of 200
Exp 1/27 sec
FPS 30.

There is a bright spot at Long 82 degrees west Lat 5 degrees north.
I believe this to be one of the inner moons, possibly Janus, Epimetheus, Pandora or Prometheus. Have checked it out with "The Sky 6" and it is definitely not one of the major moons.

Due to the combined 6 min's for each RGB the positions of the moons don't quite line up.

Regards
Trevor
