Just bought a 1000d , with twin lens kit and a carry for 1050 from of all places Meyers, and Im really happy with it, Its pluses are , price.. weight..shutter control via USB, and LIVE VIEW,,,,oh and did I mention LIVE VIEW.... 350D convert that couldnt afford a 450....
... minuses, 12bit, 10Mp, and from memory fewer AF points, not that I care but someone can confirm that...
