Also having not been to one before I wouldn't know what to suggest... except make it like AstroFest QLD? nice food available at a reasonable price, a red hot raffle with lots of neat prizes, fun activities during the day and things for kids to do.... to name a few
I wouldn't know about sitting back, I'm not too shy myself
