Yeah he was , and that was all the steel I had lurking around over xmas , when all the shops were shut... double whammy...
Surprisingly its very rigid...I made a mistake somewhere...
.. The pier block is independant of the obs floor insulated from it and 2 tonnes in weight... the only thing that is yet to go on it is a stainless turnbuckle between the two vertical beams..a stressed form is stronger than an unstressed one in terms of stability...I cocked up though the EQ6 is a little too far south by about six inches... :<(
