Im thinking of taking my son to the melbourne planetarium in 2 weeks time well im using him as excuse to go for myself but he is becoming a space geek too

Do i have to empty my purse at the front counter
Has anyone here been there?
What is it like?
Is it like a whole day thing or is it just like a museum that you walk around and go again?
Is there a merchandise shop there too
Any info would be great cheers
