As a very part-time software developer, I have to disagree with that statement. UNIX is robust enough to handle buggy code/programs running on it. On the other hand, fatal bugs in a program-to-be often take Windows down with them. Hence for me (lazy programmer) Windows is a lousy development platform. Only once the major bugs are sorted out is a Windows port a viable proposition.
