Greg, Hi. I've been using it for quite a while now and find the easiest way is not to worry about N,S just to set the RA axis (EW) along with star drift without tracking turned on and then to experiment with quite large movements in your A &E until you find the mid point then to move only small amounts until you are happy. I can usually get A&E figures on the G11 of +_ 2 withing about 5 minutes. I now use my camera for star alignment , drift alignment and never have to do anymore than look through the finder scope for my initial star alignments. Really easy.
