That's pretty fair Tim. As you say, different strokes for different folks.
I'm only too aware that the majority of people seem to have enjoyed I Am Legend, otherwise it wouldn't be getting the prequel treatment.
I know for a fact that various films I've enjoyed have been seen as turkeys by a majority of the viewing public. One example is Tank Girl, a film that I enjoyed immensely, but I appear to be a minority of one there.
There's no accounting for taste (yours or mine) and if I've denigrated something that you've enjoyed, then the fault is mine and I apologise without reserve.
I will say though that you wouldn't be doing yourself a disfavour by reading Matheson's I Am Legend or Wells' Time Machine, if only to see why various people went to the time, trouble and expense to try and adapt these great stories to the medium of film.
