Remember we were kids once and we did stupid things but we did have a general fear and respect of authority, respected most elders and teachers, and respected peoples property and the community.
However young people these days respect no one not even themselves, anarchy reigns.
Young people are not taught to respect others, acorporal punishment was removed from home and schools because Johnny shouldn't be smacked even when he's naughty.
We loose sight of the big picture when we over protect the guilty and innocent by removing the ability of a minority in positions of authority abusing their power instead of ensuring the guardians are guarded.
Remember, "the needs of the many outweight the needs of the few or the one"
