How predictable. I've never seen anyone so utterly negative. Is there anything anyone can do out there that you approve of? Those "cretins" in Hollywood bought you the original...
I for one am looking forward to giving the film a chance. The original, plus several others of its ilk (Forbidden Planet et al) are favourites of mine. I know that any new takes on old movies are not doing the original any harm - they're not being "replaced" as such - so what's your problem?
