One thing though - looks like you've had to do a bit of noise reduction on the image - you described the area as "hot".Would that be fair or am I being pedantic?
I find higher iso settings just don't work so well on the shorter FL lengths - resulting images are very noisy.
I intend to try this same shot soon with my 50mm f1.8 so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
If I could get a shot up to the standard of this one I would be very happy though.
