Thank you all, I have been reading and considering the replies greatly... I haven't seen any all red christmas light sets in bunnings, so will have to have another look there. The rope light I thought would be too bright, but obviously solved by a dmmer if I can work that one out! ... the glowire looks perfect, I just need to work out how much it might cost.
