Thanks guys your comments are much appreciated, and Chris, I don't really do the spike thing very often, but in this case I decided to give the image some effect.
That huge Star usually ends up as a big white over cooked blob, so the spiking sort of hid that a bit.
Just made up a snug fitting square about 25, deep which fits nicely onto the dew shield and just used some fishing line at right angles acroos the front of the dew shield.
