Folding space like paper I don't have a problem with because the universe is fluid not static.. however when you fold the paper you still need to tear space to open up such a wormhole...
Maybe as the universe keeps expanding little tears will appear & we will see stuff not previously visible.. would be cool i reckon
So in theory i think they're ok.. but i won't get to see one in my lifetime
