Hi,
I was using a 70 mm Saxon F5 achro which I got second hand on eBay for 50 bucks. They are quite cheap new, very light and not too bad for guiding.
This scope would have the same FL as the Tak FS60-C. Of course it is not a patch on the Tak but does have a greater light grasp and is far cheaper.
I have heard of some people guiding through finderscopes, maybe you should say what you mean by short
