You're referring to the Syntrek version, right? The
Basic EQ6 is different: no guiding port, no serial connection ... only an RJ11 connection for the simple black LCD-less hand-controller it comes with.

I don't think the EQDIR/EQMOD mods will work on it, which is a shame because I assumed it would when I went and bought the mount.
