I always used to get miffed when people accused me of being a "trekkie" - its just another sci fi series (albeit a good one).
Then I realised one day I'd watched just about every episode (catching up on some missed Voyager currently)
Always thought Star Trek TNG was best by far and William Shattner hammed it up too much, but I'm starting to come to realisation TOS was pretty special really. Limitations in time, money and special effects just seemed to spur them on to greater creativity.
Looking forward to this new one - just hope they don't stuff it up. And good to see there's plenty of Enterprise tragics here too....!
