Does CS4 support GPGPU load balancing (I think its just 2D canvas rotate functions - not even Pixel Blender made it in - but may be added in the not too distant future)? Having 384 stream processors per each modern GPU process data fed from a single or dual CPU Quad core system would be very nice - that would give around a 35x speed up by my rough calculations (better still if you had 2 -> 4 Big GPUs) - then even your most complex manupulations - taking minutes now - would be real time, sub second rendering)!
