60 x 1min (ISO800), unguided... Prickly left the guide scope at home Some usual tweaks in PixInsight and CS3. (However I'm not really that good at processing, still learning).

Interestingly, the image is a bit noisy, maybe due to the warmer weather? The ICNR was enabled but it still seems a bit high - Well more than I expected with ISO800 anyway.

Yes noise is proportional to temperature.

Typical CCDs double noise with every 6 degrees C change or halve every 6 degrees C drop in temp.

I have read that in warmer temps it is more beneficial to use ISO1600. Not sure of the logic now. Perhaps shorter exposure with boosted gain is less noisy than longer with lower boost I imagine.
