I actually did take a quick look through the Pentax and it looked fine but I did not get a chance to really "look through" it...it is hard to describe via a post...
I did not have my chair to sit and look deeply so other than a quick check to make sure it was not obviously damaged in transit, I did not spend any time with it...no real reason other than with all of the kids around and me being so tired from the trip I just was not ready to concentrate...the 24 Pan required no thought...plug it in and the sky opened...for me the higher mag always seems to require more focus as I look for detail and I knew I could not do it justice and instead of "forcing" myself to look I decided to just wait until another night to give it a good go
