1st Qtr Moon, Jupiter and Jovian moons

Hi all,

Here's an image of the nice Moon-Jupiter conjunction yesterday evening. It's a combination of 2 exposures using a Pentax K100D and 300mm telephoto: 1/90 sec, f/8, 200 iso for the Moon; and 1.5 sec, f/5.6, 200 iso for Jupiter and its moons; combined in PS7. Ganymede and Io are clearly visible, Callisto is faintly visible, and Europa is hidden in the glare of Jupiter. I'm a bit surprised how easy it still is to image the Jovian moons this way, given that it's now well past opposition!

Cheers,
Stephen
