Yes, Use a courier.
More expensive, but also more secure, & usually within 5 days from anywhere.
You still need to insure your items.
Also, if you are getting it sent from overseas, check out the particular courier company's "Import Regulations".
If your import is under $1000 it does not need to be cleared through customs, but SOME courier companies will charge a Customs Clearance Fee for ALL items they bring into Australia regardless of the $1000 rule.
I have accounts with DHL, TNT, FEDEX, Allied express & SKYNET
I mainly use SKYNET because all shipments, regardless of origin, are controlled from my account holder in Australia. I just have to call 1 person in Brisbane to arrange a shipment from me to anywhere, or from anywhere to me.
Other courier companies require me to deal with the office in the origin country or city, & to me that's a pain.
