Did you end up a lovely shade of red/purple after the day in the sun?
Thanks Alex - Not quite a lobster, but I always seem to miss a spot when applying sunscreen and yesterday was no exception

maybe its me but the old f 1-11 is still a very pretty piece of aircraft
I don't know something about it just looks right .

connie used to make a stop in ballina fairly often as one of the pilots mother lives here .. another very nice piece of history .. though walking around her on the tarmac the buckets under the engines catching the oil leaks just struck me as a little worrying
Thanks Graham. The F111 does have great lines and will be sadly missed when retired in a few years. There was fuel leaking out of the Connie and the spot on the tarmac was appropriately flagged

Superb technique throughout and the detail is gorgeous! No C-17 Globemasters flying though?

Thanks for the feeback Dennis. Unfortunately there was some issue and the C17 was grounded yesterday. I think it was flying today, but it was dissappointing as it was something I was looking forward to seeing

Very happy Tony. First time seriously trying to shoot an airshow so I was pleased with the results and the panning efforts. All shots with a 400D with the flying shots done through a 70-200mm f/4 and the static display shots through a 10-22mm. Really enjoying the ultrawide 10-22mm ... a really fun lens. Took plenty of shots with it down in Sydney last week which I will probably get around to posting here soon.
