Clive to sum up your question, what do I do when the scope is imaging, well to be truthful, not much.
Once it is focused and off and running it will hum along very nicely all by it's self.
the camera just clicks away for the lenght of time that i want, the truth is I could probably go to bed and get up when it has done it's job.
So Clive, believing all is well, and pointed at the right place, I just leave it and usually look at the stars, have a wine or two, listen to some music, or just generally stuff about under the clear night sky.
