Thanks for the feedback for my previous effort.
I have flipped the image and reduced some gradients in the original.
Flipping the image not only gives it "a right side up feel" but clearly shows some perpendicular structure to the plane of the galaxy near the core.
I remember a NGC 253 image posted by R.J. Gabany on the SBIG forum showing this structure. There was a debate if it was the real thing or a processing issue.
