A fine effort Leon. I don't know why you are not happy with this. I really like it.
The Lagoon and Triffid really stand out amongst the Milky Way and it is really sharp.
I agree with the others. A slight tweak in the levels and curves will help to bring out the hidden data a bit more and don't forget about longer exposures.
