Image Plus DSLR Camera Control

Hi Guys, well for the life of me I cannot get this stuff to work with my 5D, I can get by with out it but would like to see how this works.

It has never worked form day one.

I have watched the disc so many times, and followed every instruction to the letter, I have even printed out each step and followed it carefully, and still not a hint of working.

So could some kind person please enlighten me.

It tells me each time that, it cannot open the DSUSB Port whatever that means

This is how I do it.

Image Plus DSLR Focus

Open Canon DSLR, and go-to New Canon Camera’s Control Window

Go-To Bulb Capture to check ports, this will clear the port.

Choose ShoeString cable and choose type of Camera

Then press Re-Set to open port, this will open Bulb Capture Port

Go to connect button and click this button

Now turn the camera on.

Go-To Connect button again, and click this button

Choose where you want to save the images taken, Transfer Directory and Choose Location

Go-To Settings to set Camera Parameters. Eg Raw, ISO etc

Custom settings cannot be changed, but you can check how your Camera is set

Go-To Focus tab

Press Release, you may use mirror lock up here if you want

Use Default Parameters

Select Sub Picture, and click Sub Frame Image Tab, use test Star for the Focus.

Select the Star you want to Focus on and Click it

Default Half Flux Diameter, use this setting all the time

Press release, and set the time you wish for the exp time, eg 2 or 3 sec’s

Adjust Focus in between firing of the shutter, you can set the delays of firing

Set Delay for Camera to what you want in between shots e.g., 2 or 3 or 5 Sec’s
Or use loop

Manually change the Focus between each shot

Press Cancel when you are happy with the Focus, be careful not to move Focus

The object is to get the Green line to merge with the best bottom line on the Graph

Many Thanks.
