Mike and Gaz
Hey Mike,
yeah nice to have at least something to put onto my site. Been a long time.
Been one of those years I guess.
Thanks for giving me the g.o. on how things are looking.
N1313 as you say looks muted colour wise. Same on my mon as well.
I'm just wondering cause I did take the red channel one night when clouds rolled in, getting the G & B the next.
The g & B channels have noticeably more on the galaxy itself.
The limited images I've seen on this object appear to show the galaxy almost all blue. And then other images have been done in narrow band as well as standard rgb. Perhaps this was to reveal more of the older stars/ areas that could be shrouded by reflection... who knows. As you say the tell tale is in the redder stars to the periphery are a little off.
Any way good to know things look ok.
With this res of 1920 x 1200 on my monitor, my little chip is just that, little!!
Think it's time for an upgrade to fill the screen.
Definately!!
Have to wait till near the end of the year to build some funds up.
Thanks Gaza for taking a peek and commenting.
good to know where I stand on how things are looking on other folks screens.
Yes, the info on Ngc1313 is pretty interesting.
It sure is an anomally.
Have never worried about this galaxy before, so it was good to see it captured and thus read about it.
Thanks guys, nice to be back, but alas the weather has gone phsycotic here so who knows how long it will be again.
I'm always taking a peek here though so am not too far away.
All the best for now
Rich
