Comet McNaughtC2008A1and an asteroid

I got a deep shot of this comet tonight. 40 mins worth, upon processing I spied something travelling a different course, above the comet nearits ion tail. Consulting Star Atlas pro found it to be Asteroid (344)Desiderata at a bright Mag 13. There are lots of fainter asteroids Star Atlas Pro shows in the field, I will attempt to identify some later.

Image is 8x5 mins ISO200, LPS filter Modded 350D, 300mm f2.8 Flourite lens from Bert. Imaging began at 18:58 AEST on 30 sept 08
