Well the site used to be more technology-oriented but now has attracted younglings and now contains links/articles to technology, politics, images, etc and other non-tech stuff for a sensationalist impact. While the quality of the site varies from time to time, if you get on the front page you get an insane exposure ..
so many people will see it. So yeah pretty good effort.
Will be interesting to see if it hits
slashdot, a much more mature and tech-oriented site. Plenty of actual scientists (and not kids
) frequent and post there .. it's fairly common to have particle physicists from CERN, scientists and engineers from JPL, etc post regularly in relevant threads.
