Thank you again very much to all who have replied. We're starting to come to grips with the concept of organising a wedding. Mamoth task it seems, even though we want it simple.

She has got used to the habits of an astronomer, but I must admit we get along a lot better when I'm not staying up until late hours, and waking her up when I finally go to sleep! Astronomy is tough to fit into a relationship I find, and one reason I err on the side of automation.

Yes... Very useful those L lenses
Although the 100-400 I have found too problematic for astronomy
...but sharing lenses for normal photography is great
