Last summer, it was literally a biblical plague of both mozzies and spiders, during one short session I was bitten 100 times and I found no less than 15 redbacks scattered around my pool....... and I had walked into spider webs suspended ACROSS my yard, found spiders nesting in my scope, and night
while observing I had spiders weaving webs around the finder and focuser! It was freaking mayhem!

Too windy to observe however.
On a related note, the first 30ºC of the season goes to Sydney...30.6C today. Adelaide got to the finish line first last year and Melbourne had it in 2006.
