Thanks guys!
Mike (Iceman) the second shot is from 2006 using a C9.25 on my old CG5, shot at F/6.3 including some ISO 3200 frames (how little I knew...the shame of it...)
I think from memory I may well have masked and processed just the nebula at the time. It was the best I could do in 2006, so I'm happy with the progress but there's still a long way to go!

Clive and Peter thanks , It's very low on the horizon, not sure if I'll get another shot at it this time around...maybe next Friday, weather stopped me in tracks all weekend long!

Mike (The Strong one...though the other one is learning Karate so...) Thanks, I had a look at the image from Richard Crisp which does seem to show a jet aimed 22:00 to 16:00 , you have NO chance of seeing it on a shot I took hahaha
Maybe if
a) my focus was better (just built a Hartmann mask for the C14 for next w/e)
b)collimation was 100% (close but maybe just 96% now)
c) it had been at zenith when I imaged and
d) i'd shot at ISO 400

then I'd stand a chance but as it is
I'm lucky I got the little guy at all!
:]

I can see a faintly more reddish partion in my image which might correspond to a part of the jet but the whole jest doesn't show on my shot.

I'll know to look for it next time
thanks
frank
