I used to be a keen stargazer many many years ago but dropped out due to flagging interest and other pressures... my priorities are different now and I'm happy to do a little casual visual observing just for personal fun.
My other passion is paragliding. It's a great excuse to go somewhere out of town for a weekend (or longer) which often turns out to be an ideal opportunity to do a little stargazing someplace nice, under dark skies if I time it right.
I'll admit to having dabbled in photography on-and-off over the years but have no desire to get into imaging on a 'scope, perhaps after I retire...
