Photography
Something I used to do a long time ago in the days of film and darkrooms. More into the darkroom stuff that taking photos. Restarted this one recently with the purchase of a new Canon DSLR, still working out how to load the film...
Woodworking/Metalworking
I'm a bit restricted for space so only have room for some woodworking tools. The metalworking will have to wait till I move to a bigger house (Come on retirement!)
Currently building a CNC router which combines woodwork and some metalwork - I have a small lathe. Also ties in with my electronics interest.
Electronics
I used to enjoy building stuff in the days before everything was microprocessor based. Recently started to play around with PIC processors and building kits. If the CNC router works out, may start making my own circuit boards.
Computers
Used to be a major hobby but as it's also my work, I don't spend as much time on this as I used to. Dedicated UNIX/Linux user though.
Fishing
Trout fishing. I think it's more the enjoyment at standing by the side of some quiet stream/river and thinking rather than catching a fish. Which is just as well given my success rate.
Driving
In a recent holiday to WA, I drove over 4200 Kms in 7days. I enjoy the driving almost as much as arriving at the destination.
Not currently working so have lots of time (but not money) to spend on the hobbies.
