Hey Lee,
While your out there, you see them mountains with the huge shingle slides.
You can run down them... boy thats a hoot!!! but then again being winter
they might be covered up. I spent a lot of time in the mountains more to
your north as a kid... Wanaka and through and up along the Haast Pass.
And further north in Arthurs Pass and the Temple Basin, some great shingle
slides up in that area... some 4500' high.
