Well im not overly sure this has been covered yet in the forums (more than likely). Im a "impoverished" uni student and sometimes i don't quite have the money to do what i need to do. So i have put my handy hands to work!
With all the talk about people buying these little suckers and then having to make them right i said to myself, really all they are using is the bits and pieces and then making them all good by aligning them.
I will post some pictures of what i have done a small bit of trial and error (see butter bolts.!

) but the over all gist of it is I have whipped down to bunnings and grabbed a piece of 1.25" x 1.5mm tubing and basically followed the same idea as what i have seen in the models.
Ive also cut out a 45 deg viewing plate with a slot behind it to make a thin panel to allow a more accurate collmination effort by allowing the laser to come back onto itself and a set of 6 alignment screws to hold and make sure the laser is dead eye d1c4. so far the cost for this is
A. Time
B. $9 worth of materials. which included 1 meter of the tubing.
C. a 8 dollar pen style laser pointer >1mW from singapore!
If anybody has anything that i should add to this or ideas/ and or past projects from obsessive tinker'ers like me let me know !

please
