Didnt know about the DL batch process Jase (or I forgot).

"works best for you" and "maximises the data potential" aint the same subject Jase. The 1st depends on the tools you have, money, time and laziness/skill. The 2nd is what potentially allows the best result with maximum effort, its not subjective. I find CCD stack a pain in the bum to use, DL is much easier, but it allows much more "potential". More control can only be better by definition, if you know how to use the control features. If you start a race with a Farrari, you have "potentially" a better chance of winning than with a "best for me" mini minor .
