The background might be a little too dark? If so, then lifting it a little may help display more of the fainter nebulosity, provided colour noise doesn’t begin to creep in.

Thanks Dennis, It was a quick process and I shall spend a little more time to see if I can get some more detail from it..
cheers

Could you go longer than 6 minutes to help bring out the outer nebulosity?
Thanks Lester, I should have used longer subs as the originals are rather dim. I might try 8 min subs the next run and see how I go? But with my setup I start getting some rejects with the longer subs.
Thanks for that...

As Dennis said if you bring the bottom end of your levels up a bit it reveals some more faint details around the edges and the tail ( as I think of it ). You could apply it as a duplicate layer if you like to have more control over effect and then flatten the image when you are happy with it. Try applying as a hard light layer about 50-60%, gives added contrast and deep colour.

I like your effort anyway so don't take this as a criticism.

No worries Steve, all comments welcome (actually I like some good criticism!) I have ever tried blending with the hard light option, might have to give it a go! I shall redo this and see what I can get out with a bt more tweaking!
