I saw a few posts in the forums about autostitch so I downloaded it from the web (
www.autostitch.net) to give it a try for making a mosaic of the moon. I cannot find a way to get a good result though, attached is the result I get. The settings in the software do not seem to enable me to stop this distortion, perhaps due to the tool's being designed to produce 360 degree panoramas...any advice from experianced users? The photostitch program that came with my camera is also inadequate for this work as it expects shots to align horizontally and/or vertically so it cannot cope with polar aligned DEC/RA slews...
