JJJ, with the 20D's resolution and the 50mm (I assume its the 1.8 mk2) you'd be able to capture a great image of it I think... due to the resolution of the 20D you can crop an image down pretty dramatically and still maintain good image scale and quality... If you want to have a play at astrofest you are more than welcome to spend a night with my 70-200 f/4 or the 300 f/2.8
